On May 13, approximately 30 international students from Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) visited Flytronics Group as part of their study tour in Shenzhen. This visit offered students a close-up view of the forefront of the semiconductor industry and the opportunity to engage in in-depth dialogue with industry professionals, allowing them to experience both the dynamism of China’s semiconductor sector and the international outlook of Flytronics Group.

At the start of the event, Flytronics Group CEO, Mr. He Jin, welcomed the students and shared his observations on the development trends of Chinese enterprises and the growth of international talents, drawing on his overseas study and entrepreneurial experiences. He highlighted that in recent years, domestic private companies in China have been growing rapidly, with an increasing number of enterprises demonstrating global perspectives and market competitiveness. Unlike traditional “relationship-driven” models, outstanding companies now place greater emphasis on talent development and an open corporate culture. This trend creates more opportunities for international students with cross-cultural backgrounds. He encouraged students, whether they choose to develop their careers in China or return to their home countries, to explore emerging industries such as semiconductors, AI, and low-altitude economy, and to find their own professional direction amid the global industrial wave.

During the visit, Mr. Janssen, a BFSU alumnus and a member of Flytronics Group’s Overseas Sales Department, served as an important guide for the students to understand the semiconductor industry. Janssen came to BFSU as an exchange student in 2019 and earned his Master’s degree in International Business in 2021. His unique educational experience allows him to understand international students’ perspectives and to explain complex industry knowledge in an accessible manner.

Janssen provided an overview of the semiconductor industry in Shenzhen and the surrounding Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. From the perspectives of the chip manufacturing industry chain and value chain, he systematically explained the development of China’s semiconductor supply chain and its position within global division of labor.

He analyzed the roles and advantages of different countries and regions in the semiconductor industry, covering key stages from upstream raw material supply, chip design, wafer fabrication, to packaging and testing, while emphasizing global supply chain collaboration models. He highlighted China’s established capabilities in electronics manufacturing, assembly, testing, and packaging, as well as its growing significance and competitiveness in global semiconductor supply chain coordination.

To help students gain a more intuitive understanding of industry operations, Janssen illustrated the complete lifecycle of a chip—from design to integration into end products—using multiple real-world cases. By analyzing industrial structures, market demands, and technological developments from multiple dimensions, students gained a detailed and comprehensive understanding of China’s semiconductor industry scale and growth speed.

IMG_1320_副本.jpgBeyond industry knowledge, Janssen also introduced Flytronics Group’s business practices, covering the company’s services in the electronic components supply chain and its international business layout. He shared how the company connects upstream and downstream resources, responds to customer demands, and provides more efficient and stable supply support through global supply chain collaboration.

During the Q&A session, students actively asked questions on topics including the development of China’s semiconductor industry, international market cooperation, enterprise talent requirements, and career development directions. Janssen provided in-depth answers based on his practical experience, addressing students’ interests in industry prospects, international trade environments, and overseas market collaboration models. The exchange was lively and open, fostering meaningful discussion across cultural perspectives.

Through face-to-face interactions and a tour of the office environment, students further experienced the open, efficient, and youthful atmosphere of Chinese technology companies, gaining an authentic understanding of the industrial ecosystem behind Shenzhen’s innovation.

This visit not only allowed international students to step into the frontline of the semiconductor industry and explore its core dynamics, but also showcased Flytronics Group’s global corporate image and commitment to talent development. Flytronics has consistently emphasized both enterprise growth and talent cultivation. Internally, the company provides comprehensive development programs to support employees in achieving professional breakthroughs; externally, it actively creates platforms for exchange and collaboration to nurture emerging talents for the industry.

Flytronics Group is honored to host the BFSU international student study group and looks forward to further engagement through open collaboration and hands-on experiences, inspiring the next generation’s interest in technology and semiconductor industries, and enabling more talented individuals to explore and contribute to this rapidly evolving sector.
